The Most Challenging 9-hole Course in Indonesia

The Z-nine was completed in late 1997, and it winds through a most enchanting part of the Cikeas River Valley. The tee box of the final hole (par 3) sits way atop a hill that offers a bird’s eye view not only on the green that is located way below and on the other side of the Cikeas River, but also over the entire valley from which the course came to be.

It was designed by Jagorawi’s dynamic owner, the late Zakir, and aided by his close friend, famed American course designer Max Wexler. Six of the nine holes are bisected by the Cikeas River, while the tight playing areas and well-placed hazards require precision and a strong mental game.

Being able to choose from many tee box options, the designers have created a course that suits the most demanding top golfer, as well as those with higher handicaps.

The “sweeping” dog-leg-right par 5 hole #4 is pretty narrow, and it ends on a green that is surrounded by ponds. The par 5 hole #8 is sometimes reachable-in-two and plays atop a ridge that provides plenty of challenge as well as an outstanding panoramic bird’s eye view over the tropical Cikeas River valley and much of the Jagorawi property.

Combined with the Old- and the New Course, the Z-Nine makes the Jagorawi Golf & Country Club the only club in Indonesia that offers 45 holes of Championship Golf.
